International Human Solidarity Day 2023 – Globala dagen för Mänsklig Solidaritet 2023

International Human Solidarity Dayis celebrated annually onDecember 20th. It was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 2005, with the intention of promoting the values of solidarity and cooperation among people across the globe.
The day serves as a reminder of the importance of shared responsibility and collective action in addressing global challenges such as poverty, hunger, disease, and conflict. It is a call to action for individuals, governments, and organizations to work together to create a more just and equitable world for all.
International Human Solidarity Day is:

a day to celebrate our unity in diversity;
a day to remind governments to respect their commitments to international agreements;
a day to raise public awareness of the importance of solidarity;
a day to encourage debate on the ways to promote solidarity for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals including poverty eradication;
a day of action to encourage new initiatives for poverty eradication.
