FOKUS Patient® – Person Centered Care
Is precision health or patient centric care the same as person centered care?
Person centered care is a concept that has been established for a long time, but is interpreted and experienced different depending on where in the the patient journey you are, and what kind of function or position you have.
This conference will twist and turn the concept and ask questions whether precision medicine or transplantation e.g are the most optimized personalized treatments or if different diagnoses have easier or more difficult to get a person centered healthcare?
Person centered care supposed to be an approach or a care model where the patient is an active participant in planning and execution of your own care, in collaboration with healthcare professionals and sometimes also caregivers and family members. New words and terms demands explanations and understanding for being able to incluence.

FOKUS Patient® – Cancer Forum
EU:s beating Cancer Plan focus on four main areas:
- Prevention – preventive measures for both the individual as well for the society
- Understanding – to understand reasons for cancer in research and for citizens
- Diagnostics and treatment – new ways of detect and treat cancer
- Quality of Life – an improved quality of life for cancer survivors
And another fifth overarching area:
- Reduce inequalities – increase equity to access, participation and development in all areas above
The seminars at Cancer Forum are divided in these areas to highlight topics from a Swedish, European and International perspectives with speakers from life science, healthcare, patient organisations, authorities and many more.

FOKUS Patient® – Transplantation Forum
The number of transplantations depend on the will of individuals to donate organs and tissues and how to take care of donations. But only that – a number of different kind of transplantations are possible nowadays through new techniques and new kind of drugs.
Transplantation Forum will bring the topic of transplantations from a wide range of perspectives where the social area is one of them, as well as the need of follow-up of transplantations and the transplanted patients in registries – national and international that is needed to be established or improved where they already exist, for research and development.
With Swedish, European and International speakers from life science, healthcare, patients, authorities and many more, we like to highlight transplantation as a treatment for those who goes through a severe disease and see the transplantation as the only way out, but also as one part of a treatment for different diagnoses and conditions.
